Ed A____ in the Norfolk FBI Office. It's true that counter-terrorism is their number one priority. He says the rates on other crimes is constantly climbing - and has been for the past five years. The first two quarters of this year are really bad statistically - going to set a records at the current pace; but the administration (read Justice Department - read further: White House) wants a major terror case to brag on. So they are devoting most of their resources to terrorism and high profile cases. He says even drug interdiction and prosecutions are taking a back seat to terror investigations. Agents have been pulled from other tasks to concentrate on terrorism. I suppose since the internet was used in formulating the transactions there would be a federal interest in prosecution, but as someone said, car parts would be pretty far down on the list. Hopefully, you get some satisfaction, but realistically I'd be very surprised if we see a followup post saying he's in custody of the feds.
